Trinity Automated Solutions Offers Rapid Response
to Life Safety Issues

PITTSBURGH, PA, April 2, 2019 — Trinity Automated Solutions, a leading solutions provider of custom building automation and control systems (BACS), announced this week the addition of LightAwayTM to their product offerings. LightAway, patent pending, is the first and only lighting control system that integrates existing or new smart building systems to communicate with the occupants through visual identification of the current building status via the overhead lighting.

“We build culture, connections and safe, comfortable environments,” said Richard W. Fish, Jr., Director of Sales for Trinity Automated Solutions. “LightAway fits perfectly into that value proposition by keeping building occupants safe through notification of emergencies and building conditions.”

LightAway controls RGBW lighting dynamically, to identify locations of building emergencies such as fire alarms, active shooter signaling, chemical spills, or hazardous environmental conditions. The system does not require human intervention to guide occupants toward preferred egress or ingress locations. It notifies occupants of the situation via specific dynamic lighting changes, and continues to respond for the duration of the emergency. LightAway works in new or existing building systems and network infrastructure, and even light fixtures via LED retrofit kits.

Phoenix Controls & Deckman Control Systems Partnership

Phoenix Controls and Deckman Control Systems Create Strategic Partnership for Delivering Precision Airflow Control Systems

PITTSBURGH, PA, September 5, 2018 Deckman Control Systems (Trinity Automated Solutions), a leading solutions provider of custom building automation and control systems (BACS), announced this week that it has become the applied systems representative for Phoenix
Controls in this territory, which serves Western/Central Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
This partnership will enable DCS/Trinity to serve their customer base delivering safe, energy-efficient, and reliable precision airflow control systems in the healthcare, laboratory, and
research markets.

Joe Elia, Director of Sales, Americas at Phoenix Controls, said: “I was very excited to learn that the management team at Trinity Automated Solutions was “putting the team back together”. This same team was responsible for the success of Phoenix Controls in the Pittsburgh and West Virginia markets.  They were not only able to secure work at existing Phoenix Controls customers, but their expertise in critical environment control and hard work allowed them to
significantly expand our customer base.  As we say in the business, selling projects is the easy part of the critical environment controls, but keeping customers happy and satisfied over time is much harder, and the team at Trinity did a great job at both!  I am very excited to have the team at Trinity Automated Solutions back in the Phoenix Controls family!”

“We relentlessly pursue excellence in our value proposition and product offerings to our customers,” said Kirk Hamilton, DCS/Trinity President. “The first step to achieving this is to acquire the best talent in the industry and secondly, the best strategic partners in the marketplace. Phoenix Controls has long been recognized for being the industry leader in technology, safety, and performance for the precision airflow control market.  The partnership between our team and Phoenix Controls is definitely not something new, we have been delivering successful projects to our customers with Phoenix in the healthcare, laboratory, and research space since 1998.”

Deckman Control Systems Prepares for the Future with Ownership and Name Changes

PITTSBURGH, PA, MAY 15, 2018 — Deckman Control Systems, a leading solutions provider of custom building automation and control systems, announced this week that Kirk Hamilton has purchased controlling interest of the company. Hamilton has been named President, and Dianne Fretz, a substantial shareholder in the deal, has been named Vice President and General Manager. The terms of the deal were undisclosed.

Kirk Hamilton and Dianne Fretz have been in the building automation industry for more than thirty years. Hamilton was the owner of Logical Automation, which grew to become the area’s largest privately held building automation company in the region, until 2009 when he sold the business to a publicly traded company. Fretz was engaged to help Logical Automation create and implement a financial accounting package to meet their business needs. She was later named CFO and operations manager where she was instrumental in crafting the company’s business vision and culture.

The continued growth and success of Deckman Control Systems required full-time, dedicated leadership. The new leadership team will focus on strategies that enhance the company’s value proposition and product offerings to its customers.

“It’s the perfect time to get the team back together,” said Kirk Hamilton, Deckman Control Systems President. “Our research has shown the market is ready for a new approach to building automation. Although this is a new venture, we have the same people and products that our customers have become familiar with and relied on for future proofing their buildings.”

The leadership team has recently undertaken an extensive rebranding effort as well. “Choosing a new name and brand identity were paramount to us as we started this new venture,” said Dianne Fretz, Vice President and General Manager of Deckman Control Systems. “We chose Trinity Automated Solutions because of the meaning “Trinity” holds. We see Trinity Automated Solutions as a rebirth of the culture, knowledge, and dedication of our team that will tirelessly serve our customers,” Fretz added.

Over the next six months the company will be transitioning from Deckman Control Systems to the new name Trinity Automated Solutions. A new logo and marketing messages have been created that will “lockup” the Deckman Control Systems and Trinity Automated Solutions identities during the transition. “This name change better reflects the current and future direction of the company and our sheer dedication to our employees, our customers and our vendor partners,” Hamilton stated.

The announcement promises exciting changes for the Company, but Mr. Hamilton stressed that against the background of new strategies to the market, the Company is maintaining business as usual. Deckman Controls Systems has built a great reputation in the industry and he has vowed to keep and enhance the culture, core values, and promise of the delivering the area’s most reliable, cost effective, and consistent building automation projects that exceeds customers’ expectations.
