The backbone of Alerton’s Ascent product line, the Ascent Control Module (ACM) is the industry’s most agile controller in its class. It combines Alerton’s pioneering and proven BACnet prowess with Tridium’s Niagara Framework® flexibility.

ViewPort

The Alerton BACtalk® Viewport™ is a compact operator terminal for BACnet systems. It connects directly to the MS/TP LAN of a BACnet system and can be wall- or panel-mounted. The Viewport's easy-to-use keypad and intuitive 4-line by 20-character LCD allow an operator to query and adjust system values. The Viewport offers an economical alternative to a PC-based operator terminal for small sites and a convenient access point for larger installations and its fully programmable displays can be customized for each site. VLX-PLATINUM

The Alerton® VLX-PLATINUM is a integration-level controller that offers more than triple the memory of the current VLX controller to accommodate more BACnet objects such as alarms, schedules and trendlogs as well as more room for DDC. With an increased processor performance, this controller also offers significantly improved DDC execution speed. The increased processor performance of the VLX-PLATINUM speeds up DDC execution: Field tests have shown speeds of up to seven times faster. Faster transactions enable the VLX-PLATINUM to gather trendlog data at a faster rate.

FLG-MODBUS

The Alerton® FLG-MODBUS is a field-level gateway that resides on a BACnet MS/TP network and connects to Modbus over EIA-232 or EIA-485, translating Modbus data to BACnet AVs and BVs. The FLG-MODBUS appears to the BACnet system in the same manner as a BACtalk VLC, with a single BACnet device instance. FLG-MODBUS—Supports 100 analog and 100 binary values to integrate Modbus device data with a BACnet system.

Alerton Integration Engine Supervisor

The Alerton Integration Engine (AIE) Supervisor is a flexible network server used in applications where multiple AIE controllers will be networked together (A-2, A-6 or A-7). The AIE Supervisor serves real-time graphical information displays to standard web browser clients. It also provides server-level functions such as centralized data logging, archiving, alarming, real-time graphical displays, master scheduling, system-wide database management, and integration with enterprise software applications. In addition, the AIE Supervisor provides a comprehensive, graphical engineering toolset for application development.

Alerton's VLC-444 is a BACnet field controller designed for next-generation fan-coil units that include variable speed fan control and other features typically found in EMC or EC-DC fan-coil units. In international markets, EMC fan coils are proving to generate significant energy savings and meet local legislation that mandates low energy consumption from terminal equipment. Currently the EMC fan-coil is the easiest way to ensure compliance with that legislation.

Alerton’s VisualLogic Display (VLD) is a communicating sensor-controller combination with built-in temperature and humidity sensors that targets common applications such as roof top units, fan-coil units and heat pumps. It provides a cost-effective solution to meet in-room hotel requirements—an easy-to-use interface, easy-to-see digital display, and Celsius/Fahrenheit change over—where you already have Alerton systems in public or common areas. The VLD-362W features an integrated wireless receiver that communicates to different combinations of sensors for occupancy and detects whether doors and/or windows are open or closed, then reports back to the front end BAS.

VLC-651R

The Alerton® BACtalk® VLC-651R is a versatile, fully programmable BACnet-compliant field controller. With three software-controlled high-current relays, the VLC-651R is well suited for unit ventilator and fan-coil applications, or any application that requires multi-speed fan or motor control. As a native BACnet controller, it integrates seamlessly with your BACnet system, communicating on a BACnet MS/TP LAN at up to 76.8 Kbps. VLCA-1688

Alerton’s VLCA-1688 is an advanced application controller (AAC; BTL listing is pending) with a high resolution 12-bit A/D; D/A converter and new, 32-bit processor and real-time clock that supports its own schedules, trendlogs and alarms. The VLCA-1688 includes monitored on-board Hand-Off-Auto (HOA) switches, Ethernet or MS/TP connectivity, and additional math functions beyond the standard VLC. It also leverages new DDC Function blocks such as an astronomical clock and wet bulb calculator. With 16 universal inputs, the VLCA-1688 economically fills the gap between the VLC-1188 and a VLX with EXP modules in an Alerton system.

AZW-5000 Wireless System

The Alerton® AZW-5000 provides for the wireless extension of a BACnet network using mesh networking topology to ensure self-healing, reliable communications. The AZW-5000 offers the ability to locate Alerton VisualLogic controllers (VLCs) up to 200 feet away from the nearest wired or wireless connection point. Three or more AZW-5000s make up a wireless mesh network. Each AZW-5000 on that network supports an MS/TP network with one or more unitary controllers (VLC, VLD, VAV, or MS/TP Microset).

Microset 4

Alerton’s Microset 4 wall sensor‘s strengthened glass touchscreen user interface can display the setpoint, room and outside air temperatures, relative humidity and fan status. A configurable LED Status Light indicator displays heating or cooling status at a glance. The Microset 4 is fully backward compatible with Alerton’s BACtalk™ system, enabling users to leverage their existing Alerton devices.

Microset II

The Microset II is an intelligent zone sensor and tenant service device used in conjunction with Alerton's VisualLogic® controllers. The Microset has a backlit LCD display for easy viewing in any lighting condition. The tenant can view the current room and outdoor air temperature as well as view and change the current room setpoint. The Microset LCD is also programmable. It can be configured to display the current time and date, unit heating and cooling status, fan speed and more. When set to the service mode, the Microset can be used to change controller variables.

The MS/TP Microset II utilizes the BACnet MS/TP network layer. This new sensor is perfect for split zone VAVs, multi-zone rooftop units, or any VLX, VLCA-1688, or VLC-16160 application where more than one room sensor with display is needed to meet the application, but the MS/TP Microset II can control multiple zones.

Continuing to expand our wireless product line, Alerton offers humidity sensing to the WTS family of sensors (WTS-1050-H, WTS-1000-H), including two identical models for the European market to address output power requirements (WTS-1050-H-E, WTS-1000-H-E).
